Ingham Mora, a large well-established Tauranga Accountancy Firm, had expanded into adjacent tenancies in their Durham Street premises to accommodate their growing staff and felt it timely to face-lift their front-of-house areas.
The existing reception, waiting, boardroom and meeting areas were enclosed, fragmented spaces with mirrored ceiling panels that made you very glad the 90’s are behind us!
We began by re-visiting the spatial arrangement… opening up the entrance and a series of smaller meeting rooms and office spaces, that blocked light from the fully glazed west façade, to create a large welcoming reception/waiting space with adjacent boardroom to allow them to completely open up the space for larger corporate or company functions.
Mood boards (shown below) communicated our intended aesthetic which represents solidity and well-established, enduring timelessness… with the reception space in particular reflecting a real mid century feel.
The materials palette includes natural stone, dark timbers and warm leathers contrasting against light creamy stone, cut crystal, polished brass and soft velvet curtaining.
Subtle gestures to the pohutukawa used in Ingham Mora’s logo were made with an organic cut-out decal playing with shadows of light along the meeting corridor to represent growth and movement in business, and pops of red feature in the lighting and accessories representing the seasonal pohutukawa flower.
Finally, clever detailing of the boardroom custom cabinetry hides a fridge, state-of-the-art IT equipment and a bar/servery bench accessible from the small meeting room behind.
The team at Bubble Interiors are fantastic. We found it so easy working with them. They listened to all our requirements and were able to incorporate them in to an area that not only looks amazing, but works extremely well, for both staff and clients.
We feel very proud of our new reception and meeting rooms. Thank you Bubble Interiors for helping make this happen.
